For the convenience of planing, and other operations, a rectangular platform is raised upon four legs, called a bench. I chose the style similar to work benches we had in school in england, with a record style vise. I planed them down to final thickness with hand planes and then used the track saw to trim up the ends and then add a little 45 degree detail as well.

I worked a fair amount in the wood shop while in architecture school, but always had access to. This project will cover a little bit of everything, from initial tool acquisition to the final bench, as well as many goofs, screw ups, and probably some cursing.
